Meet The Filmmaker is a series of 13 broadcast spots which aired on the Sundance Channel. The documentary-style pieces profile a handful of the directors whose films played as part of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In addition to mixing the broadcast versions, I also mixed the director’s cut (web) versions. Below, you can watch the spot with Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine). More of the spots can be viewed here.

History Channel’s “WWII In HD” follows the lives of American soldiers who fought in Europe and the Pacific during World War II. The show weaves modern-day interviews with previously unseen color footage from the war. I had the distinct pleasure of creating original sound design for 5 episodes of the series. As is usually the case with these productions, no audio existed for the vintage footage, so the sound team had to build everything from the ground up. Great effort was put into making the sound authentic and believable, while keeping the experience dynamic and exciting by modern standards. In 2010, the audio-post team was honored with a News and Documentary Emmy in the “Outstanding Achievement In A Craft: Music and Sound” category.
– Mixing, Production Sound Recording –
This documentary short provides a window into the life of Jimmy Tarangelo, a man who lives in a van down by the Hudson river. In addition to doing the post mix, I also recorded the production audio.

This is a spec commercial that I mixed for director Sean Dunne (Nonfiction Unlimited).
