Throughout 2010-2011, while working at Soundworks Studios, I took part in recording dialogue for the hit children’s shows, “Handy Manny” (Disney) and “Bubble Guppies” (Nickelodeon), as well as the feature film, “Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz” (Warner Bros).
Working under renowned voice director Maria Estrada, along with lead-engineer Dan Montes, I was given the great pleasure of recording some of the most talented voice actors in the business. Among the regulars on these sessions; Tom Kenny, Dee Bradley Baker, Carlos Alazraqui, Wilmer Valderrama, Kath Soucie, and Grey Delisle. We also had visits from Jane Lynch, Marion Ross, Henry Winkler, Rebecca Romijn, Freddy Rodriguez, Frances Conroy, Rob Paulsen, Joe Alaskey, and Stephen Root.
Four of the new Handy Manny episodes made their debut in October, 2012.
Below you can watch a clip from the “St. Patrick’s Day” episode of Handy Manny. Mr. Diller (Henry Winkler) explains the holiday to the tools.
– Mixing, ADR Recording, Sound-Design, Audio-Post Coordination –
Bite Me is a 5-part live-action comedy web-series produced by Machinima and Epic Level Entertainment. The show follows three video-game obsessed nerds over the course of one day – the day that Los Angeles happens to be overrun by zombies. On this project, I handled all aspects of the audio-post chain: from scheduling actors and producers for ADR, to recording (at Soundworks studios in Burbank), from coordinating with video editors and composers (Fall On Your Sword), to creative consulting with the director (Jarrett Lee Conaway), from editing dialogue and sound-designing, to the final mix. And it was a lot of fun. Watch the show and see for yourself. In the year since debuting, the five episodes have collected over 14 million views on YouTube. Thanks to the success of the first run, the show will return in 2012. Check out season one here.
